Ngarino Pattern
Ngarino is a name passed from my great-grandmother to my Nan, and then to me. She told me it referred to the gold bars warriors practised with to strengthen their wrists for the taiaha. This pattern acknowledges that behind every master of their craft lie years of practice and discipline, echoed in the bold, mirrored bars embroidered at the cuffs.
